Conference

AAGP’s annual fall conference has become the PREMIER grants event of the year, offering more than 30 workshops featuring the nation's top experts, round-table discussions, funder presentations, exhibitors and the popular individual proposal review sessions. AAGP’s annual gathering brings together grants professionals eager to share best practices, stay abreast of trends in our field, and network with peers from across America and abroad. Chapters
As new chapters continue to form in every region of the country, members have the opportunity to be a part of AAGP at the local level. Chapters offer the membership a local venue in which to network and to exchange ideas, methodologies and resources. National membership is a prerequisite for membership in a chapter.

Member Discussion Forum
AAGP members have the opportunity to participate in a nationwide members-only email listserv hosted through the CharityChannel. The Forum provides another venue for the exchange of ideas, issues, methodologies and other relative discourse on a member-to-member basis. Many members tell us that the opportunity to communicate this way with hundreds of colleagues in all fields and from all over the country is worth the cost of membership alone. E-newsletter
The quarterly "Take It for Granted” newsletter keeps you informed about AAGP’s accomplishments, upcoming events, news, services and resources. For information, articles or suggestions, or if you are not receiving your newsletter, please contact Editor newsletter@grantprofessionals.org.

Journal/Monograph
The AAGP Journal (published semi-annually) provides a forum for book and article reviews, discussions on best practices, and scholarly examination of the state of the profession, all written by top professionals from around the country and peer-reviewed by the Journal committee and AAGP Board. Only AAGP members receive free copies of the Journal. Members may receive their Journal by mail or electronically. Members Only Section on the AAGP Web Site
Members, via password, have access to “behind the scenes” at the AAGP website. Additional information, resources and a complete member directory are only a few of highlights of our Members Only page. (NOTE: AAGP never shares member contact information with non-members.) New members receive instructions for accessing the page with their membership package. Please contact our Membership Coordinator at membershipcoordinator@grantprofessionals.org for the web address or to make any name or employment changes.

Credentialing
AAGP is working hard to establish the nation's first accredited, valid credentialing process for grant professionals. Firm in its belief that certification should be done only within the most rigorous standards, AAGP has formed an affiliated organization, the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI), and is in the beginning stages of test development. Members are able to actively participate in this initiative, provide feedback and influence the program’s direction. Conference Calling Services
The Conference Depot: AAGP uses the Conference Depot for all of its conference calls. We are pleased with the ease of use, the $.08 per minute rate and the customer service. The Conference Depot is now extending this great rate to all AAGP members and their organizations!

Hotel Discounts and Privileges
