Are you looking for a chance to get more involved with your profession and your professional association?
If the answer to any of these questions is a resounding “YES,” please read on to learn more about AAGP’s chaptering opportunities.
AAGP believes that the heart of the organization lies in its chapters. Chapters afford our membership an opportunity to be a part of AAGP at the local level. Chapters offer our membership a local venue in which to network and to exchange ideas, methodologies and resources. Chaptering ensures local involvement and self-determination of its members, and guides the National Office toward an organizational platform that truly reflects its membership and the profession. Local chapters and the national office share a common goal and support each other’s initiatives. By working together at both the local and the national level, we can better move our profession forward.
In the spring of 2004, Birmingham Alabama became the first city to form a local chapter. Within the following year, seventeen local communities followed suit by forming a chapter in their area. Today, this rapid growth is showing no signs of slowing down. It is AAGP’s goal to have AAGP chapters in every state.
