Our History
The National Capital Area chapter was chartered in April 2005 with the endorsement of 10 members. Today the chapter boasts over 70 members and is continually growing. The AAGP-NCA chapter serves members in Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Dues
AAGP-NCA dues are $25. You must be a national member (dues $125) in good standing to be eligible for chapter membership.

Transportation: There is metered parking in front of the building and public parking on the 25th block, NW, between M and N Streets, NW. The closest Metro stop is Foggy Bottom on the Blue or Orange Line. After you come out of the station, turn left and at the NW corner of 23rd Street turn left and walk NW on Pennsylvania for .25 miles.

AAGP-NCA Past Activities
March 19, 2008 -- Chapter Luncheon Meeting. Clare Feinson, AAGP-NCA chapter member and Senior Grants Specialist, District of Columbia Primary Care Association, presented "What's So Different About Federal Grants?"
December 6, 2007 – Annual Meeting. This was a networking and planning meeting. Members provided input on meeting times and locations, chapter activities, committees, and other topics.
November 7 – 10, 2007 – The AAGP-NCA chapter was the proud local host of “Develop Connections in the Nation’s Capital,” the Ninth Annual AAGP National Conference. It was held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, Virginia, and attracted over 500 participants.
August 16, 2007 – The AAGP-NCA chapter provided a “Planning and Conducting Site Visits” session in partnership with the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
June 14, 2007 – Chapter Brown Bag Luncheon Meeting. Ruth Wrenn, Senior Curriculum Developer for Management Concepts presented “Ways for Staying Up-to-Date on Federal Grant Issues.”
April 12, 2007 – Chapter Brown Bag Luncheon Meeting. Torryn P. Brazell, Executive Director, National Grants Management Association provided information on the NGMA Annual Training Conference and the grants management perspective.
February 8, 2007- Chapter Brown Bag Luncheon Meeting. This was an interactive professional growth and networking session.
