Gail Vertz, Executive Director

Gail Vertz - Executive Director
 

Gail has been the Executive Director of AAGP since January, 2005. Previous to that, Gail provided contractual management services for the association since January, 2003. Gail is Legacy member # 32 of the association. She has worked in the grants industry for over 15 years. Previous positions include: Director of Grants, Heart of America United Way for five years, Grants Manager for the Wyandotte/Leavenworth Area Agency Aging for nine years and Business Manager for HELP, Inc., a sheltered workshop for the developmentally disabled and mentally retarded.

Outside AAGP, Gail keeps busy with her family: husband-Tobey, daughter-Andrea, and daughter and son-in-law-Natalie and David. Gail is also very involved in the PTA. Currently, she serves on the National PTA Board of Directors and is active at the state and local levels as well.

Sharon Capps – Membership Director

 

Sharon started with AAGP at the beginning of February, 2008. For the past three years, she worked as an Associate Manager for the American Diabetes Association in the Kansas City and St. Louis areas and is still an active volunteer. Previously she worked as the Director of Marketing and Merchandise for the Kansas City Comets and for Goodwill Industries. She also has a degree in Business Management. Outside of work, Sharon spends time with her boyfriend Steve and their four dogs; she enjoys cooking and loves being outdoors.

Angie Fiedler Sutton - Office Coordinator

Angie comes to AAGP with ten years of administrative experience, eight of which is in the non-profit field. Her previous jobs include Administrative Assistant at The Kansas City Public Library and RideShare Marketing Coordinator at the Mid-America Regional Council. Angie is married with a cat and a dog as 'kids', and spends most of her non-work time volunteering with Kansas City area theatres and KC Stage Magazine, an all-volunteer magazine for the performing arts in the KC metro area, in a variety of duties.
